A few trips and stumbles

Overall, easy to follow the "Guide me" instructions. A bit of confusion followed when, having selected the "1099-Misc", I attempted to enter a second vehicle -- there simply was no provision to "Add a(nother) vehicle" ... Customer Service was quite helpful in providing a "workaround" to the dilemma. After a bit of searching and 'hunting' I discovered that in my case, at least, I should have ignored the "1099-Misc" income and used the "Business Income" (spouse is a realtor). Didn't have this problem in previous years of using TT (admittedly, I might have forgotten about using business income. That little 'hiccup' aside, it's a very good vehicle.
What's great about it: Generally easy to follow
What's not so great: Some confusion between "1099-Misc" and "Business Income"

The Good and The Bad...

We have used TurboTax for a number of years. I like how it runs through the categories and that I can see the actual forms, but for the last couple of years it wouldn't transfer our information from the previous year. It also seems to be inconsistent - why did a W-2 print out with the state and not the federal on one of the returns? And only for one return; no W-2s printed with the other three returns we completed. We did four tax returns on it this year and none of them could be filed electronically. VERY FRUSTRATING! Supposedly, there was always another update available... It would be helpful if there were page numbers on the return and if there were instructions on the info sheet included when you print - something like "Your federal return has x number of pages." And "Include a copy of your federal return with your state return." (Or "It is not necessary to..") We will probably go with a different program next year.
What's great about it: Can move through the categories simply, you can see the forms easily and for the most part, it is easy.
What's not so great: Could not file any of our returns electronically. Supposedly, there was always another update available. Frustrating...

Working on my own taxes was a learning experience and I better understand how to get the most back and what records to keep for the next year. Also liked the e filing of both Federal and State and being done. No last minute dash to the post office.
What's great about it: Self explanatory and lots of resources for additional information
What's not so great: Some specific questions weren't easily found
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TT was very easy to navigate with a new filing status this year. The Help section saved me from yelling a time or 3!
What's great about it: The help section was really helpful as I had several 'different' things to report that I had never had before.
What's not so great: none

State return flagged errors had to fix manually
on April 14, 2014

It seemed that not all the information from the 2012 Turbo Tax return was imported into the 2013 return. The federal return would finish the review with no errors but when I try to save as PDF it said there were errors. It took several tries to get the errors cleared. The state flagged errors in the review but I couldn't correct them unless I went to the form that had the error and corrected it.
What's great about it: Cheaper than going to CPA
What's not so great: Scholarships and tution difficult to use
