2013 taxes

I normally receive $1200-$1500 back in a return. Wuith TurboTax it was $266. Not sure it gets you everything.
What's great about it: cheaper than an accountant
What's not so great: not sure it gets eveything qualified for

no stress with turbo tax

thank you thank you. used to pay certified accountant triple what i pay for turbo tax and get so much more detail in whats deductible and answers to many questions.
What's great about it: transfer of information from previous years.

Love this program. Pretty straight forward and step by step. If it weren't for the sections that require you to input a ton of things only to have it say "sorry you don't qualify" Turbo would be GREAT. Seems like there should be a way to reverse or at least short-circuit this. Never the less, I sure do prefer using TT than how I used to do my taxes back in the day.
What's great about it: Hits on things I know I'd forget
What's not so great: Requires a lot of input only to be told you don't qualify

Refund Is Fun

It caused some time to figure out why tax rate change when you go back to review. I had some stte tax exempt money that was put in as non-tax exempt because had went back to review.
What's great about it: Almost Dummy ProoF!!
What's not so great: When you go back to review you loose previous answers

Extremely Disappointed with State Tax Error

TurboTax would not let me file my state return, saying that it was an ammended return when it was not.

I have used this process for years and have never regretted it. It is easy to maneuver, kind to the novice and teaches you gently. How much better does it get??
