Have used TurboTax since late 1980's...Started with the old DOS version...Have never had any problems and don't anticipate any in the future...Just wish all software worked like TurboTax!!!
What's great about it: Ease of Use with Prior Year Transfer

Overall, this is very average, over the past few years I've been using PWC's proprietary software, and it is much more thorough, and allows for the entry of more unique situations, there's no guessing, with turbo tax I had to do too much guessing and too much Googling for answers off-line.
What's great about it: Did not take too long
What's not so great: Entries, Not obvious enough, had to Google for answers off-line a lot

Makes quick work of unpleasant task

The only thing missing was a local tax equalization. I work in one city, pay taxes in another. Where I work has a lower withholding rate than where I live. I file a separate city form to pay the difference.
I couldn't find a deduction section in Turbo Tax that addresses this kind of situation. The amount in question was <$50, but I still was a little miffed that I couldn't find a way to enter it as a deduction.
What's great about it: Very systematic approach
What's not so great: Doesn't handle different tax rates between city of residence/city of occupation

Trouble with error fix

I use Turbo tax for more than 5 years now. It works. The most frustrating thing is lacking details when the program tries to fix errors. SInce it is not possible to see the original error, the correction comes to be guesses.

overall everything went smoothly except I didn't bother checking before I bought if there was Linux support. there isn't :( and even online they don't support the firefox version of Linux.
What's great about it: Overall good experience
What's not so great: NO LINUX SUPPPORT!

This is my 5th year using Turbo Tax and its always a pleasure to use. I get clear and concise information and It pays off in the bottom line.
What's great about it: It makes a complcated mess easy to navigate
What's not so great: Hard to find any cons
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
