Where were the forms

below average interface, some areas had poor details. not as goods as I expected.
What's great about it: straight forward
What's not so great: Waited for forms should have been loaded, had to get admisistrator rights reassigned, entered the same information multi
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax Did It

I have been using Turbo tax for years. I have a complicated return with income form a partnership that derives income from almost every state.
What's great about it: Comprehensive and easy to use. I have a complicated tax situation with partnership income.
What's not so great: there are some gliches... Foreign income tax credit

1) Would be good if the income and deductions overview pages and the summary and comparison pages could be printed.
2) For repeat customers the ability to print a mult-year comparison, not just last year vs this year.
What's great about it: ease of use, interview has really improved over the years
What's not so great: state e-file too expensive

A Worthwhile Investment

This is a worthwhile tool for the individual who wants to prepare his/her own tax returns. It is an efficient way to get the job done. The convenience of preparing one's taxes in this manner allows one to leave at any time and return where he/she left off. No pressure of "getting it done" in one sitting. There is also the convenience of having documentation readily available for the preparer -- YOU! The import function of prior year's return data is especially helpful to eliminate keying in data. Also a nice reminder of what income and deductions one had previously.
