Great again.

Every now and then I get a tax professional to do our taxes to make sure I'm close. They come up w/the same totals as Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Haven't found anything better yet..

Saved us money!

Maybe it's just tax laws becoming more complex, but it seems to be more difficult to complete the returns accurately in TurboTax each year. And they're very proud of their e-filing - but it does make life enough easier that we'll continue to use it! Great user interface.
What's great about it: Thorough, accurate, detailed
What's not so great: Hard to change data, very complicated

Great program that I would recommend to anyone who even thinks about doing their own taxes. This is the 9th year in a row that I have used TurboTax, and it is now so easy to get setup each year as all of my prior years information automatically transfers into this years return. It also helps me compare year to year. Excellent program!!
What's great about it: Step by step walk through of all income and deduction possibilities. Thorough recap as you complete each section.
What's not so great: Once you get into stocks and retirement account activity, can be a little cumbersome.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Worked IT!!!!!

This was my first time using turbo tax, and it was AMAZING! I always used to use a service and had to pay a huge sum. This was a fast easy and inexpensive way to get them done and I will never file my taxes any other was. JOB WELL DONE AN THANKYOU
What's great about it: Less time effort and money!
What's not so great: Taxes
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Overall this program is painless and accurate. Just read and answer.
What's great about it: Like being able to get questions answered using the search method
What's not so great: When trouble spots are identified in the review it simply directs you to the worksheet with no explanation or prompts.

A great tool for the most part

This has been the 5th year I've used turbo tax. For the most part, it does a great job. But it's confusing on how to enter your estimated tax payments for self-employed people. My state and federal taxes have been adjusted because of this for 4 out of the last 5 years.
What's great about it: easy instruction for the straight forward deductions
What's not so great: somewhat confusing on self-employment tax payment entry

I learn something new every year. I think I would encourage someone to use Turbo tax andtry it.
What's great about it: Last yearstax info was able to be transfer. Made my day.
What's not so great: running program. Then being told it wasn't validated for e-file.SCARY.
