Excellent. Had all my paper work ready and was finished in an hour. Both federal and state were easy!!!
What's great about it: No calculations!
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Every year

I use TurboTax every year, and it makes filing taxes easy. There are some things that are confusing, and every once in a while a question I don't know how to answer, but overall, the process is clear. Even the smartest people I know couldn't get through filing their taxes without curse words and tears (or the thought of it) if it weren't for TurboTax. Thanks guys!
What's great about it: Easy, quick, and relatively painless
What's not so great: Somethings confusing, tax law shouldn't be so complex

I enjoyed doing my taxes this year and the guide was easy to follow. I had to stop mid way because not all the updates were available for my state.
What's great about it: quick easy guide
What's not so great: not all updates were available at time of filing and I did not know when they would be available, had to wait till last

Turbo Tax is the way to go!

I have been using Turbo Tax for several years now. I like how it transfers all of my information from last year. I still had to pay taxes, but I know with Turbo Tax I maxmized my deductions.
What's great about it: Quick, easy, exact.
What's not so great: Still owed taxes!

What's great about it: VERY easy to use. Uploaded my stock trades and did calculations

Glitch in State Return Software

Loved the ease of use, however, after using a professional tax preparer for many years, I was expecting the turbo tax software to be error free. After I filed my state return, I received a letter from the IRS stating that they had revised my return. Instead of getting a refund of $2221, We were instructed to pay a balance of $ 650! I called the IRS and they told me it was a known glitch in the turbo tax software, where line 72 on the form 540 was populated with my 2012 state income tax refund in error. I was told the issue was reported to Turbo tax and was subsequently fixed, but as a first time user of this program, I was very disappointed that this error occurred. I trusted the product, knowing that I had entered my data correctly, only to find that the software populated the field incorrectly. I don't know how this will affect my 2014 returns when I use this computer and the data from my 2013 forms is transferred to the 2014 forms. I guess I can change the entry, but I'm a little worried about the whole thing. Again, disappointed with the outcome, and since turbo tax has a 100% guarantee against errors, I feel I should receive a refund of the cost of the software program. Thank you for your consideration. I haven't decided whether or not I will use turbo Tax to file my return next year or not.
What's great about it: loved the ease of filing and easy explanations for entering data
What's not so great: there was a glitch in the State return software
