(1) Handling multistate filing sequence could be improved. Felt it necessary to do non-resident state first then resident state to insure credit for taxes paid to other states.
(2) Not sure the credit was calculated correctly but could not find instruction. The area of income reported to both states was unclear as to if it should be the gross amount (as in Montana) or the gross amount reduced by the Montana apportionment factor.
(3) Sometimes errors are found that are totally calculated and put in worksheets by Turbo Tax that I cannot figure out how or where to correct. This year it was federal return and had to deal with 2012 capital loss carryover and also something about 2012 payments that did not make sense.

I thought the Turbotax program was very user friendly and made a difficult process really simple.
What's great about it: easy step by step process
What's not so great: long down load times
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easier and Faster Than an Accountant

I have been using Turbo Tax since 1994 and it has made some complicated returns easy to compile and file.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate and good explanations for each section
What's not so great: none

Fairly easy to use. I like that you can import from last year's form into current form. I wish I could use Turbo Tax It's Deductible throughout the year. Instead, I wait until I do my taxes.

heartbreak

Easy access to forms as is the print menu. I had a very difficult time with investment income and transactions. This is due in part to the new "covered" and 'uncovered" reporting of cost. Need a simple worksheet, as in some prior years, that you can enter individual trades and the worksheet puts the info in the right place to satisfy the gov requirements. The brokerage firms seem to be on the right track but you are far behind.
What's great about it: update from last year good. print menu improved. close/delete forms easy
What's not so great: securities transaction hard to use, confusing worksheets linking to schedules without guidiance
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments
