Excellent Tool for Tax

It getting better and better every year.
What's great about it: Everything is very clear and concise.
What's not so great: Warn if any sections are left out even if that was not covered from last year tax which is imported to begin with.

Easier each year

Once I had the paperwork ready I sailed through the return using my imported return from last year as a guide in case I was missing a piece of documentation. I will always use Turbo Tax to complete my Income Tax return
What's great about it: Import from previous years serves as a benchmark and reminder
What's not so great: Needed an easily accessible calculator

I'd like it to be easier to address children's financials in your step-by-step process. Also, I think it used to be easier to address my sole proprietership in the step-by-step. It seems like it doesn't come up naturally in the sequence and if it weren't for entries from years past I'd miss a lot of required entries and potential deductions. Otherwise it's great!

Needs fixing

TurboTax no longer handles 1099-R distributions from a Defined Benefit Pension plan from a Trust correctly. For the first time, TurboTax insisted that a Required Minimum distribution had to be taken (at my age) from such a plan when that is incorrect. Further it told me that no RMD being taken would lead to an IRS penalty. I had to waste an hour or so contacting the plan administrator to find out that you have made your software deteriorate by treating all 1099 distributions as the same for RMD. In addition, the plan administrator pointed out that Federal Tax had been already deducted by them on each distribution (and input into TurboTax data) which invalidated your warning about an IRS penalty.
What's great about it: Very easy to work with, would be impossible to prepare taxes manually. User-friendliness improved.
What's not so great: 1099-R processing deteriorated
