Glad I switched!

10+ yr TT User Sorely Disappointed w/ Ohio Softwar

I moved from another state to Ohio, and had to fill out partial year residence forms for both states. Ohio has certain arrangements for non-Ohio income in the immediate surrounding states, but not other states. Bottom line is that I had to override figures in the Ohio Schedule D to accurately complete the form.
Also, I efiled my fed return, but needed to mail the state returns. I unchecked the default to efile the state returns. After efiling the federal return, TT did not give me any option to print the state returns for mailing. I had to print manually, and make my own copies of the signed forms.
What's great about it: Had all state forms, imported data from last year
What's not so great: Asked incomplete questions on out-of-state income, printing

Filed Taxes the EZ Turbotax Way!

I was really impressed all the way around with the software. When gathering information for my previous tax preparer; I invested the same amount of time as it took to just plug the information into TurboTax. I have been spending hundreds of dollars every year and the results have not been any more complete than my experience this year with TurboTax. The bonus is that I was able to complete this filing on my own timetable. No more "hurry up and wait" at tax time!
What's great about it: Detailed but easy to use.
What's not so great: Wish I had used Tubotax last year!

Convenient way to do the taxes

After using the program with the Easy Guide, even though I've been using TurboTax for years, I am reassured that I've covered all of the bases. My concern is that the user agreement says that my data may be used/stored in other countries with different security controls from those in the US, which aren't that secure either.
What's great about it: The Easy Guide covers ALL of the details
What's not so great: Concerned about the security of my data

Becoming increasingly harder to use. Good for dummies. A bite of a pain for those that know the forms and want to fill in some areas. Almost feels like the Government is putting restrictions in place. Not a good feeling
What's great about it: Conplete information, same to a point
What's not so great: becoming harder to us. Too many over ride spots. Would like freedom to fill in boxes

Easy to use

Overall, this was the easiest TurboTax program I have dealt with. And I've been with you since the beginning. There were no glitches - unless you count the Feds inability to deliver a sales tax work sheet and/or standard deduction - and I was happy to be able to "tab" my way through an entire form.
Great job!
What's great about it: Liked the fill-in-the-blank format and the easy save features. This was a nice and easy change over previous years!
What's not so great: Hate putting in the medical deductions. There are just so many different categories!
