Great, Easy

I have used turbo tax for years. even as our information has become more complicated, included foreign income, I have been very happy with the soft ware and VERY happy with the support
What's great about it: they ask all the questions, fill in where necessary
What's not so great: I could not get the online to transfer my information from my computer. both were turbo tax
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

AWEFUL Product

Complete waste. Very poor product. Extra help if you pay money, might as well go to professional to start. Sorry, I purchased. One of the worst financial decisions I made this year. Could of gave money to a stranger.
What's not so great: Waste of money.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Prefer to complete and print taxes before survey

Taxes simplified

I have used Turbo Tax for a long time and there were some minor changes in what needed to be entered this year. The beauty is the review process after Federal taxes are complete - errors will be caught! The same process is true on State taxes.
In the event of a glitch that the user can't figure out, support is wonderful ... and will walk you through the process on a specific line item; or if an user error is made on a prior year, support will walk the user through the process of correcting forms - before import from prior year is moved into current year.
The ease of electronic filing has be questioning my sanity of why I continued to file paper returns until 2011! I'm now spoiled and will continue electronic filing. Turbo Tax makes it easy to pay the fee for State filing.
What's great about it: Step-by-step guide superb for novice
What's not so great: Vehicle information can be tricky in rental & business

Tried and True!

Have been using Turbo for a few years now and can't imagine using any other product. Love the trouble shooting at the end that helps you fix any problems that might have been missed.
What's great about it: No mathematical mistakes with this software. Asks questions that you my not have thought about. Very Good!
What's not so great: State tax update was not available until March!!!

Makes Filing Easy

I've been using Turbo Tax for a number of years and the product keeps getting better. Once I have all my papers organized (this is the time consuming part), i can quickly enter the information. All information is saved if I'm interrupted and have to complete at a later time.
What's great about it: Comprehensive. Doesn't allow me to overlook all possible deductions.
