Pleasantly Surprised

I was always nervous about filing but this was so easy I couldn't believe it. I was surprised and a little disappointed that it cost a little more at the end to file electronically but even then this program is still worth it.
What's great about it: Ease of use.
What's not so great: One surprise fee at the end.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

MLP Pain

I spent many houirs, if not days, with extra work trying to avoid Turbo Tax double entering profits from MLPs due to poor handing and unclear basis calculation for MLP's. I was only able to find help thru user community, Intuit and elsewhere on the web. And was shocked to discover that this problem has existed for years and Turbo Tax has not corrected the program to handle MLPs. I hope it will be finally addressed. I will be glad to pay for the Premere version if it would handle MLPs. The communites indicate that the Premere version does not handle MLPs either.
I answered below that I am single and have kids. I did not see the options that apply for me. My wife passed away 1.5 years ago and our four kids are grown and paying their own taxes. This was my first year to pay taxes as a single person in 42 years.
What's great about it: Have used Turbo Tax for years
What's not so great: terrible handling for MLPs
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax is always a great help in preparing our taxes without the big out of pocket pay.
What's great about it: I like the questions that it aske with explanations.
What's not so great: Not listing all counites sales tax.

I've been using turbotax since 2003 and this has been the easiest of them all. Love it.
