Turbo Tax is Great!

Overall, without a doubt, the best software available.
What's great about it: Easiest to use anywhere
What's not so great: If you use the IRA investment tool, it should automatically update your refund
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

LOVE Turbo Tax

Year after year I dread doing my taxes, like most people. I have used Turbo Tax for years and have always found it to be quick, easy and user friendly. It prompts you for everything you need and lets you choose how much assistance you truly need.

Taxes Done Easily

Like that no longer required to list charitable organization addresses...goes quicker this way. When listing items donated to charitable organizations, used to be able to enter specific items not already listed in ItsDeductible Online. Either that option no longer exists or I missed it....need to have that option in case donate an item not already in the system. Love all the tax help information along the way.
What's great about it: Great questions covering all situations to ensure that nothing is omitted.
What's not so great: Time consuming if read everything...but not a bad thing necessarily since need to ensure nonexperts like me cover it all

I still have been unable to get a refund but the program is very helpful especially in figuring values on deductions.

Filing with Turbo Tax has gotten easier....

I do appreciate the import, data entry and such has gotten much easier from previous versions of TurboTax. And the help center on the Web is a tremendous help, although I'm a bit concerned I had to go there to begin with.
I've been using the software for years, and this is the first time I had to request a software update, without TurboTax prompting me first. (Tennessee sales tax update, to be exact). Y'all usually worry the devil out of the user to update, and I need that push. If I hadn't been aware, I would've missed out on approx. $120 worth of refund, just from this update.
Anyway, I'm sure I'll use you again; just want to get some good update support within the program itself like old versions.
What's great about it: Loved the HelpCenter feature on the Web
What's not so great: Updates/upgrades not smooth like before

Unable to e-file State Return

I have used Turbo Tax for several years, and in the past have been satisfied. I like that it is easy to use, thorough, and until this years return (2013) have been satisfied with the e-file tool,
My problem this year was with the Turbo Tax Deluxe with Federal E-File. I was able to file my Federal Return, but wasn't able to electronically file my State Return. I tried to file several times, but each time the payment screen was blacked out. This problem was reported by others on the Help page, with no response. In the future I may look at other options for my tax preparation and filing.

Easy to use. anyone can do it if you can transfer from W2.

What's not so great: Print too small for me. Probably not your fault.
