beat the IRS again

Been using Turbo tax for several years now and has always been easy and quick. I wish it was a little cheaper but as they say "you get what you pay for".

Easy preperation

Step by step process was easy to use. I will be using Turbo Tax again next year. ITs Deductible was easy to use and helped with multiple deductions.
What's great about it: ITs Deductable
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I am a single filer. I love the ease of which to file. However the price to pay to electronically file state taxes is OUTRAGEOUS. Will not use this product again for that reason.

Keeps Getting Better

I've been using TurboTax for at least 10 years and this year it was easier and more complete than ever before. I really like the way you can see how your answers are placed on the IRS form, too.
What's great about it: More thorough and understandable
What's not so great: Takes some time to be so thorough

Turbo Tax must update its " reading" process of the 1098-T data. A zero- value ($0) on Box 1 (if Box 2 has an amount in it) should be considered as a "blank" as per instruction on the "error-entry". Deleting the number on Line 7 does not really correct this thereby preventing Tax Returns to be e-filed in a timely manner. Can cause some frustrations...
What's great about it: Very Convenient and Economical
What's not so great: 1098-T Problem

Reliable, BUT...

In my opinion, it is easy to use but I can say that because I majored in Accounting. I could tell I was not getting credit for the General Sales Taxes. The message that Schedule A is not available yet but will be available by 12/31/13 made me worried because I started to prepare our taxes on April 10, 2014. I was worried that the software I bought was defective. It took me a while to figure out what was wrong or missing. Glad I figured out how to fix that item because it meant a jump on my refund for $150.00.
What's great about it: Easy, convenient, reliable
What's not so great: The General Sales tax form got me worried
