Turbo Tax is the only way to go

Trimmed My Taxes Due

Love, love using Turbo Tax. Have used it for over 10 years now, & it's been great to have the same product to use through all sorts of life changes that have tax consequences.
What's great about it: Great walk through of each category
What's not so great: Still shows review of updated forms even after they've been reviewed

Easy to Use

I had trouble with determining a penalty for underpayment of state taxes. The program would not allow me to enter my 2012 tax liability, indicating it was 0, which was not the case.
What's great about it: Steps you through your tax return.
What's not so great: State return was a little short on instructions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

This year a disaster

If it is going to be like this next year, I will not be back. Took one hour to go through the blogs and articles in order to exile on the Mac. This did not happen last year. As stated above, the preparation is a snap and is excellent. Too much stress for the filing portion, however.
What's great about it: software fine- easy to file(my 6th year)
What's not so great: Filing glitches on Mac unacceptable

Quick and Simple

With the exception of last year, I've used Turbotax every year since its inception in the 1990's. As always, I've been quite happy with the ease of use of the program, and the ability to use the guided questions or enter data on my own. My only complaints this year are related to the removal of the snapshot of National Average returns within my income bracket for comparative use - so I could see what filers are claiming in income and deductions and compare them to my own. I was also confused in the printing process. It appears that you have to save to a PDF and print from that - which isn't a problem, I suppose, but an additional step of opening the file. When I selected "preview print" I was met with an error message stating that the program was missing to perform this process. What ever happened to just print??? Seems a bit convoluted to me.
What's great about it: Very easy to use.
What's not so great: No longer includes snapshot comparison to National Averages

I've been using Turbo Tax for years and it has never let me down. If it wasn't for having to pay each year, I'd look forward to doing my tax return.
What's great about it: Reminds me of business expenses I may have missed

Forms that were missing could be inproved.

The missing deduction on sales tax needed to provide instructions at the start of the report!
What's great about it: For the most part easy to use.
What's not so great: Your missing state sales tax reduction was a problem.
