Taxes Fed and State

Could not correct form 8891 to get rid of it. I found it hard to use the menu down the side. I spent a total of over 14 hours to input and correct and print. Next year I probably will go to H & R Block and let them get frustrated,
What's great about it: I was unable to use turbotax last year.
What's not so great: I had to submit my tax forms with an error because I was not able to get the program to remove the incorrect information

Complicated Return Issues

I've used Turbo Tax for many years and for the most part it's been fine but this year we had an issue with a non-traditional retirement pension distribution. I needed to get professional help with placement of the income. The tutorial didn't help
What's great about it: Easy to use for most returns
What's not so great: If you have complications or non traditional retirement income the tutorial doesn't help

Program wasn't asking for the info on the form. It was confusing.
What's great about it: mostly easy

Pin # Problem

Directions were to go to "File Tab. Then to E-File Category". They should have said "Go to main Form List. Go to Information sheet and correct or enter current pin number."
We users only spend a few minutes each year doing tax returns. Instructions should be more explicit than for Turbo Tax employees that work the system all the time.
What's great about it: Used Turbo Tax for years
What's not so great: My pin numbers disappeared during current year. To correct directions were unclear.

Fabulous software

I couldn't figure out how to do the 1099 that I got from my broker. I had already purchased my usual tax software but bought Turbo Tax and now I am a convert. It could import the 1099s and fill out the forms.
What's great about it: imported 1099s from my broker
What's not so great: nothing

Using TurboTax once per year doesn't allow me to remember all the little nuances of usage.
What's great about it: Step by step
What's not so great: Errors on supporting forms are difficult to understand which schedule the info originated from
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

No Credit Card payment option

To really satisfy all your customers you'll need to find out how California customers can pay their tax liability by credit card.
What's great about it: Easy to use Turbo Tax for 2013 filing
What's not so great: I did not want to pay California -FTB by check or via my checking account
