I had a 6 hr. time transferring last years material from an e-file to a Deluxe CD. It was NOT a good experience. The only reason I would use you again is that my data is saved with your format!!!

I have used Turbo tax for years. The last couple of years, including the current year that I just filed, I encountered issues with the HSA entry. My husband does not have an HSA, the program would not allow me to go forward without entry for him. It continued to load the 1099 SA as his even though I changed the name multiple times. Also, I purchased the disc which included one free state filing. At the end I was charged to file my state return. I have always been happy with Turbo tax, but will think twice before using Turbo tax next year. I believe it to be a great product, but am very unhappy to be overcharged and will consider going with a different product in the future.
What's great about it: Quick
What's not so great: issues with HSA entry; charged for state filing even though it was supposedly included on the disc

The deffernience shown between the two tax refunds.
What's great about it: Data entry
What's not so great: Edding secection sessions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

This was the first year after over a dozen years that we ran into problems not encountered before. Treatment of our regular pensions was the mian concern. Also we had "B" forms that we had never encountered and without paying an extra fee for your late updated B form section, there was not an apporpriate way to figure short and long term gains on items that were clearly just transferred from one advisor to another and Merger gains on a stock that merged and caused the need for "B" forms again without ways to figure progit easily.
What's great about it: Able to import 2012 data for comparison. You do the math.
What's not so great: Product demanded that we enter a RMD for regular Pension Plans and there are no RMDs and it hung us up for a long time

I have been using TurboTax for over 15 years. It has been a fairly simple, reliable and accurate program. It is very simple if you have a basic life style. We have rental homes, kids in college, self employment, pastoral housing allowances, and so each year I keep coming up with extra "questions" that don't quite fit the program. But every year, if I am unable to find the answer through the quick help stages, the TurboTax team has been able to step me through the process to make sure I am correctly submitting my return. THANK YOU TurboTax Team!
What's great about it: Keeps track of prior year entries; makes sure I don't miss anything!
What's not so great: Has some problems with special case scenarios
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Turbo-Tax User for over 20-Years

I have been using this software for more than 20 years.
It has always made this task of preparing my tax return a no-brainer. I stopped using a tax preparation service after I started using TurboTax., and have not regretted it. GREAT SOFTWARE.

First Review after Several Years of Using

2 Things did not work out with my Turbo Tax this year.
1) After importing my 2012 taxes for my 2013 taxes. I lost the file. I had not had 2012 saved as a PDF which could be the reason why. It would have been good to have had a warning about that as I use turbo tax to save paper and do NOT print my returns. Live and Learn. But it's the first year, I've had this problem and been using TT since 2007.
2) There was a snag with e-filing. After updating twice and still getting the error message, luckily it was a problem many other people had and there was an answer online. The answer to quit turbo tax and restart the computer did work.
Just both issues made my ease with Turbo Tax drop from a 10 to a 5.
What's great about it: Easy to Use
What's not so great: This year there were 2 major cons
