Good to Go

Easy to use except for the problem of getting the program updated due to needing to have Administrator Control. Never had that problem in previous years and it was frustrating until I got help to figure it out.
I have been using Turbo-Tax for several years now.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: I got held up figuring out how to get the on-line updates because of the need to have Administration Control.

Our tax situation always seems to have something new each year like sending kid to college, buying rental house, 2nd job, start new business, switch house & rental, etc. Between turbo tax resources and the links they provide, I feel like I've been able to fill out our taxes correctly.
I miss those short videos you used to have. They were kinda fun to watch and there was a psychological effect of connecting with a person not just a computer program.

What's great about it: I like answering a turbo tax question and having it figure out what to do with my response
What's not so great: explanations seem to be getting briefer

Reliable Up-to-Date Product

We have used TurboTax Deluxe for 9 consecutive years. The product has improved each year, to the point where I now tell my contacts it is easy to use and essentially error-free. Our income tax situation is complicated without being complex. TurboTax meets our needs without compromise and provides an excellent value.
What's great about it: Interview process is superb, responsiveness has greatly improved.
What's not so great: I raised 3 questions to the masses, none were answered helpfully.

Sweet and Very Sour

Updated the pkg when I began the process; at the end when I tried to e-file, was flagged and error message said I had to install more updates, which did show to be downloaded and installed properly; however, that was not the case. After one hour of trying, I printed the returns to file by mail since the e-filing process was too irritating. Considering the total amount of time misinvested, I am leaning to hiring a tax preparer for next year rather than face this frustration again. Right now, since I was charged for e-filing my state return, I am call AMEX to remove that from my account. Not a happy camper........
What's great about it: Thorough and comprehensive
What's not so great: Could not e-file; your updates would not download to my MAC....

This is a very simple way to file taxes with very clear explanations as to what each category is. I have been using you for 4 years and I keep coming back.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy step by step again

This is my second year of using Turbo Tax and it could not go more seamlessly. The program is user friendly and walks you through any & all possible deductions or situations. I felt confident that everything was completed correctly
