Hopefully it did a great job once I figured out that I could get a credit from NJ for money taxed by the municipal in Pennsylvania in which I work

updates didn't activate refunds

orig software said sales tax credit still in progress, did updates at end of process, had to go back and EDIT to get sales tax credit. updates should go back to beginning of process- right after original download from disk.

Needs to go back to previous editions of TurboTax.

Turbo Tax is great!

Love Turbo Tax, enter retirement income is a bit confusing because Railroad Retirement income is listed in 2 places but does not coninside with 1099-R from the Railroad Retiremnt Board, but figured it out after a little while and studying the forms.

have used turbo tax for several years.. easy to follow but could use more down to earth explanations and a little more guidance about deductions and credits..
What's great about it: step by step filing
What's not so great: please put more in layman's terms when turbo tax explains things
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Uanble to see forms easily

Each year, TurboTax makes the user more hidden from the underlying tax submittal. As an example (and I could site many), as you are completing their questions, they don't tell you that medical expenses can only be deducted for those over 7.5% of your net income. If you knew this beforehand, you would know if you want to bother summing your medical expenses.
What's great about it: Simple Interface
What's not so great: Can't see IRS completed forms while completing
