I had to work a bit harder to find where entries were put in when I found those that needed correction.
What's great about it: Easier to use

Hope and have to trust what is asked for. Down loading from institutions are correct.
What's great about it: Good, lingo still a problem

I liked the input from the trading partners and I like the leading me thru step by step. I didn't like it when I started something like transmitting my return to the state that if I needed to stop before I finished the last step and wanted to come back to it I had to start the process over from the start again instead of coming back to exactly where I left off.
What's great about it: leading me thru things made it easy
What's not so great: stopping in middle of an operation means you start over that section

turbo tax, is there for you at anytime , easy to use, even if you are not tax or computer capable, it leads you by the hand to provide cost effective tax preparation and allows you to look for things and tells you what works and doesn't work. It has changed thousands of lives, and the other ones don't compare, and if you are filing the short form its free!
What's great about it: ease of filing, ease of use, ease ofonce familiar with program is a breeze on a beach
What's not so great: nothing stands out

I've been using Turbo Tas for many years and continue to come back to it.
What's great about it: walks you thru all aspects of filing
What's not so great: some areas aren't self explanitory, but you can usually find the answer
Pros: I bought or sold investments

This is the bomb! I should have been doing this. I have been paying to much for other peoples to do this. TurboTax makes it so simple. You are right, you do ask All the questions and do the calculations. The only problem I had was I did not see or I missed it, where I could enter membership dues for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Thanks for everything.

I have used Turbo tax for a number of years after using other software. This years version made me feel as if something was not reviewed in terms of deductions. As I am not super familiar with what are allowable deductions, the software does not prompt you to what are allowable deductions.
What's great about it: Set up was fairly quick, easy to use
What's not so great: Hard to know if all areas of deductions have been exhausted
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Normally Consistent & Accurate

Other than this year's glitch in the error portion of the program (in only one area), the program consistently is great. I've been using TurboTax (MacInTax) since 1999. The process is as painless as tax preparation can be. One needs to have patience and understand that you still need to be prepared with the prior preparation in having the necessary documents and understanding deductions. Mine is not complicated but my wife and I have separate consulting businesses in addition to our regular salaried jobs which makes recording keeping essential. if you haven't done that before starting with TurboTax, you should become familiar with the myriad of deductions and ensure you have the proper documents. TurboTax provides access to the necessary IRS documents and also to their own simple but effective explanations.
What's great about it: The interview guide makes its easy to complete
What's not so great: In the error check this year, the same error (form 2106) was found even after corrections made.
