Easy to Use for Everyone

Best tax return software product in the market. Switched from Taxcut years ago and stick with TurboTax since then.
What's great about it: Easy to use, save time and manual calculation. Maximize the refund.
What's not so great: Cost to buy another state and e-file for state
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I liked the feature when a 1099 was entered as a cosemetologist it asked questions to cut the tax bill by $400.00.
What's great about it: Ease of use for all tax situations

Very easy & accurate

Very good program year after year. Have been using for several years now and have been impressed with the ease of filling out the forms. Taken through each step of the form and things are explained and suggested at times for my situation. Being able to carry over info from last year and compare yearly returns is a big help, too.
What's great about it: Takes you through each step and even makes suggestions.
What's not so great: Too high of a fee to file state returns electronically.

Danced through my refund!

As long as I drop everything for taxes into a file throughout the year, this software is an instant '10'! I sit down with my file, and plug in all the numbers. It couldn't get any easier. So just remember, as you go through your paperwork, ask if it is for tax season, and drop it in your file. Pick up your software in January, and just start adding items. Put a checkmark on them with a marker, so you know you're done, and just add items as they arrive in the mail. Doesn't get any easier! If messy Mimi can do it, so can you!!
What's great about it: Quick and Easy!
What's not so great: Turbotax doesnt fill the forms out for me!!

TurboTax performance review2014

This program USED to provide a view of the portion of the tax form for which the interview was being conducted. It was also a more carefully worded interview. I'm a retired person without any EARNED income at all (NOTE: No W-2's#, I'm over 65, why not ask, AT the start of the interview process, if the person for which this interview is taking place has any W-2's #i.e. EARNED INCOME), IF not then just skip the first part of the income process. WITH that out of the way, progress to the input of "Distributions from Pensions, Annuities, Retirement, or Profit Sharing Plans, IRA's, Insurance Contracts, etc." I'm sure as the progression of retirements from "The BABY BOOMERS" gets under full swing, there will be an awful lot of grateful filers out there who will thank-you.
What's great about it: Fast, accurate and appearently thorough.
What's not so great: Still confusing during the progression of filing
