Good program to use.

I retired last year and I had some money sent to me from a brokerage account. I was disabled and your program would not take the codes "J" in the correct box.
What's great about it: Easy to follow.
What's not so great: Doesn't know how to adjust if the information I WAS GIVEN by a company was WRONG.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Complex Made Easy

Overall, very easy and quick to assemble federal and state tax files for submission. Plenty of help files and assistance. Easy to fix flles rejected by IRS or State. Maybe a reduced e-filing charge for additional submissions related to deplendents listed on primary file.
What's great about it: Very easy to navigate and enter data
What's not so great: Cost of e-filing state tax file.

Payment of State Taxes

You can use you credit cards to pay Federal but not California state taxes. Why not?
What's not so great: Not being able to use my Visa Card to pay California State tax.

Great experience, if taxes can be that...
I've always liked the explainations as input subjects to give a clear understanding of the information needed is great.
This is by far the easiest version of Turbo I've used.
Please keep up the fantastic service you provide.

What's great about it: Quick, inexpensive, super hand holding helpful, and easy to use.
What's not so great: Nothing to complain about. If you could add a running review to warn of errors during the input would be of help.

Think the Royalty section is confusing if you have more than one entry. Should be much more clear when you've finished one property entry that might have several 1099's and the need to start a second property entry. I have to fumble thru and get frustrated every year on this so for me the entry logic is not intuitive............. please revise for those of us that need it simpler to follow.........

Quick and easy

Been using Turbo Tax for years and have had no problems with the software. Great feature is the carryover of past years information that save time and is a good reference so not to miss an item and compare last years return. You just need to keep your tax records on an ongoing basis (eg. charity contributions) during the year and you'll have not problem filing.
What's great about it: simple follow the directions and tile

stop being like Microsoft and have multiple flavors and have one that works for all .
for years the ability to review or open a previous file has been lacking . I can transfer the file but I also want to see the file even though the software is newer. just for read only
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: cannot see a previous tax file unless the software is loaded for previous year
Pros: I had a baby, I bought or sold investments
