Turbotax for Mac Users

Customer service was great in navigating the system error that I kept getting during the validation stage of my e-file submission, however it took a lot of time, not including the amount that I spent on my own trying to figure out what had gone wrong and trying to find solutions on the community help board.
Great product, but there has to be a better workaround to ensure that Mac's don't run Turbotax in the background automatically when it's opened from the applications folder.
What's great about it: Turbotax itself is easy to use
What's not so great: Spent way too much time figuring out a glitch during the filing proces

Easy to use but detailed

I have used turbo tax for 5 years, and this version 2013 was the easiest and most effective means of getting my tax return set up. And my setting was not easy.
I have a home in one state and work in another. My wife is retired and on disability.
But the tax operation was detailed in ways that I've never seen before, like in charitable donations.
I highly recommend turbo tax to anyone.

Turbo Tax is an easy tool to file taxes on your own although I still wish we could be smart enough to just tax everyone at a certain percentage and be done with it - no filing, no deductions (other than children) and no exceptions. There's too much paperwork involved in our tax system which is not the fault of Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: One year, I tried a different tax software program and hated it and couldn't wait to go back to Turbo Tax.
What's not so great: There was a glitch, but I can't remember what it was. Seems like I always have to pay taxes so I wait until last minute

I continue to trust TurboTax, and transitioning year to year is easy and relatively cost effective. While the federal is very clear, I did only have one complaint that I'm sure TurboTax offers assistance on- although I did not feel it was necessary to use it, and that is the State Taxes. Using the K-1 schedule, the questions did not directly correlate to my K-1 form,like they do with Federal so at first I did not know what values I should put in. In general I use the "explain this" for the federal a lot to understand what is going on, and the Kentucky tax section was somewhat weak in this regard.
What's great about it: Federal is fast, simple, easy to understand
What's not so great: State section comments are somewhat weak

More than difficult

The online version slipped in too easily, didn't even realize it then I couldn't get my 2012 taxes transferred over to the same return that took forever to transfer my online 2013 version!!! Never did get them combined!!! I've done this for years and loved it but this year it was awful!!!
What's great about it: The normal CD version
What's not so great: the online version slipped intoo easily and screwed things up!

Another good experience with TurboTax

Easy, as usual. Would like maybe a bit more clarification on deductable expenses when working though an employment agency. But is was all good, well the preparation part.
What's great about it: Easy to follow and simple to use
What's not so great: Maybe a tad more detail on some consultant expenses
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
