OK - what I expected.

Overall, it went very well. However, the force W4 workout made me very frustrated. Even when I said that I did not want to go through the process - it asked like 5 times before allowing me to continue. Then when I got to the error check phase - I could not move forward without going through that process because it said that I had 4 errors. So I went through the workout and then did not use it to make any chnges. It was for a $14 penalty. The amount of time it took me to complete was worth more than the $14. Waste of my time!
What's great about it: It went smoothly for the most part. There were areas where there were good instructions that were very helpful
What's not so great: The program forced me to redo my W4- before it would let me move on because I had a $14 penalty. Really frustrating.

The analgesic of tax preparation

Every year I dread tax season, but TurboTax has eased the suffering. I can gather the data needed and if I'm not sure what I need, TurboTax provides the guidance. Thank you for an outstanding product.
What's great about it: Excellent program, well designed and easy to use.
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have always wanted to print certain screens like income worksheet and deductions & credits worksheet but the only print option is to print the entire return - this is ridiculous!
Doing a screen capture is difficult if the worksheet is a couple of pages.
What's great about it: generally a good program
What's not so great: should be able to print some screens without having to do a screen capture

Great Software but disappointing convenience fee

I have used Turbo Tax for years....both the regular version and the premium version and have always had a good experience. I am very disappointed, however, in the convenience fee that is charged when paying taxes by credit card. I can understand a nominal flat fee but to impose it as a % of the total paid is adding insult onto injury when you consider that you're having to pay the IRS, potentially pay credit card interest, and this fee on top of it. It almost cancels out any benefits that you may receive from earning miles/benefits that are associated to your credit card.
What's great about it: The software is fast, easy to use, and easy to understand.
What's not so great: The convenience fee that is charged to pay taxes by credit card is ridiculous.

Very Disappointed!!!!!

I have used Turbo Tax for several years. This years version was difficult to use. It did not ask the right questions, which led to me going back a lot. It did not direct me properly and it did'nt give me enough information to make the correct choices. I will never use Turbo Tax again. For the cost, I'll just hire someone next time.
