Easy Peezy Tax Return

I don't have a very complicated tax preparation. TurboTax has help me do my taxes for over eight years and I have not had a single problem. Have all your forms/reciepts/number ready and go at it. The easy to follow instruction work each step of the preparation. I will use TurboTax next year.
What's great about it: It was easy and no stress. I have done for years and will keep using TurboTax.
What's not so great: PAYING TAXES!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Would have been perfect, if downloads downloaded

I used Turbo Tax years ago and just returned to it this year. It has improved and I will definitely use it in the years to come. It systematically walks you through your returns and gives prompts when I really needed them.
What's great about it: Easy to follow. Great explanations.
What's not so great: Downloads were frustrating

Turbo Tax Rocks!

I have been a consumer of Turbo Tax for many years and with the exception of using a professional tax preparer, I wouldn't think of filing my taxes any other way!
What's great about it: User friendly
What's not so great: Problem with eFile

New TurboTax charges

TurboTax is still great to work with. But having all the additional and expensive charges.
I will be checking the competition now to see there free tax online and what they charge at the end to e-file.
What's great about it: Still fast and easy
What's not so great: Don't like that State is now not free.

TurboTax comes through again!

I've been working 12-hour night shifts at a job an hour away, so haven't had a chance to work on taxes until the last minute. (Finally! A night off!) Here I am in the wee hours of the morning on the 14th, finally getting a chance to do my taxes. I knew I could depend on TurboTax to guide me through quickly, and be sure I didn't forget about anything. Have been using TurboTax for years and plan to continue.
What's great about it: Quick and easy to use
What's not so great: Going back up to top of page at end of section. You had to scroll all the way to the bottom to keep going

Not so simple to review or amend

Everything was going well til I found out I may have mistakenly given the wrong amount withheld by the State, resulting in my owing instead of getting a refund. I'm not that smart with this computer stuff, but I think you should be able to click a simple button to review &/or amend.
What's great about it: Simple til the finish
What's not so great: once ifo. obtained not easy to review or amend

Energy Tax Credits - NOT up to snuff!

Piece together my pro's and con's and you'll understand my beef. I've relied on TurboTax for at least the past dozen years. What's baffling is that TurboTax should have been able to track and tally my prior Federal Energy Tax credit claims. Instead, luckily I recalled that I had made a prior claim and was able to track it down. TurboTax should have been able to access this information readily in an automated fashion from my historical information. Leads me to wonder whether there could be similar problems with TurboTax carrying information forward in other categories.
What's great about it: Mostly reliable - that's why I've used for a dozen years
What's not so great: Energy Tax Credits - NOT up to snuff!
