I've used turbo tax for three years now and I find it so very helpful and accurate.
What's great about it: Never knew there could be so many deductions

Disappointed compared with previous years

I have been happy with TurboTax for several years. I was disappointed this year with a few sections that did not work as expected the first time. I had to update the program two additional times before the business home office section and state/local sales taxes section would work properly. TurboTax also needs to update the Adoption Tax Credit explanation with more complete information, including how a non-refundable tax credit works.

Usually solid but disappointed with bugs this year

I've been using turbo tax for years and it's usually a solid product, but was disappointed this year in some of its bugs.
I'm no longer a student but visited the student expenses section since it contained the form for 1098-E, student loan interest. By visiting this section, it asked me to complete a section on current university. This didn't apply and even after deleting the current student info that it created, the error check at the end flagged current student forms for not being completed. I deleted the current student info once again, but was not offered another error check. So to be sure there were no errors, I started my return from scratch, and carefully avoided the student expenses section and navigated to the student interest section manually instead of through the wizard.
Then once I was ready to transmit my taxes, the transmission failed, claiming the failure to be because software updates were available. I checked for updates and transmitted again after they were installed, only to receive the same transmission failure. Exiting out of the software and relaunching it solved the problem, but this caused me to lose confidence in the product.
Some of the descriptions of items in State products are terse such that I've had to look up details outside of the product.
What's great about it: Does a great job of walking you though what you need to complete and what you don't
What's not so great: Bugs as described in my Review that follows.

2013 Tax filing

Easy Peasy

Loading in answers to questions about filing my tax return made it so easy to do. I'm still not crazy about the efile thing unless done with a tax agency. think I'll just mail it in.
What's great about it: Getting a credit I did not know I qualified for
What's not so great: Not being comfortable with fed or state possible disapproving efile
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Peace of Mind

The newly added misc. tax forms will be a great addition once they are all uploaded to Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Less time spent, no agency trying to overpay for fees & peace of mind knowing everything was double checked.
What's not so great: Not stating the fee for State E-Filing up front.
