2014 Turbo Tax Filing Review

This is a nice product. It helps make an unpleasant chore more of a pleasant task. I like the fact that it is almost impossible to LOSE data once you have entered it. You can go back again and again to check entries. Well structured.

Love Turbo Tax. I wouldnt use anything else.
What's great about it: good hints, leads you through, dont need special education to do your own taxes
What's not so great: sometimes the explanation for an error can be a little difficult to figure out.

I had no trouble with previous editions of Turbo Tax. But 2013 was different. Too many errors. And the setup was not user friendly. No help with many items.

Only problem - it would not transfer our information from our W-2 forms, so I had to input everything myself. Otherwise, I think TurboTax is great - have been using it for years.

We've used TurboTax for about a decade, and I'm just pleased with the thoroughness of the product. The help files are great and include appropriate links to IRS pubs. In general, it's not only a great guide for accomplishing your taxes, but has built in lessons regarding all the changes happening. Editorially, if it were just up to me, I don't know how I'd track all the changes occurring in our federal tax code!
What's great about it: Great help files on maximizing deductions
What's not so great: N/A
