Rollins College generated an erroneous 1098-T. This would have caused me to pay an additional $1,300 in taxes. So I entered the correct data. The software will not allow this data to be submitted. As a result, I had to print and mail the return.
What's great about it: I have used this before.
What's not so great: The software cannot handle errors by others.

Love the automated import features

I love the facts that TurboTax will import most of my forms automatically. This really saves me time and avoids data entry errors.
What's great about it: Imported W-2s, and all 1099 forms, Free e-filing

When i went to file, the report said: transmission failed, the program needs an update, go to TurboTax menu and request an up date. There was no other direction about where to go to find a menu. I had started TurboTax only two days ago, and received updates when it first started up.
I went back to beginning, could not find anything that looked like menu. NOTHING I tried told me where to find a request for an update.
In desperation, I closed everything, rebooted computer, opened TurboTax. It said there were no new updates. Then I went to the tax forms and tried to submit this time. Now it went through!! What should I have done differently????

Startedusing in the 90s....
What's great about it: It's all there and more to get the deductions based on law....Step by step even inch by inch and then save and continue

But having a step-by-step order to make sure I looked/touched on everything was a benefit for what my tax situation could become in the future.
