Wouldn't Prepare and File Any Other Way

Have used Turbo Tax since 1995 - wouldn't prepare and file any other way.
What's great about it: Simple, easy to use. if you have your records at hand, it is very quick.
What's not so great: Too many updates after taxed are filed if you file earlier than April 15

I was looking forward to using this program because I heard it was the best. And I did find the Federal half of the program quite good but there was a distinct disconnect between the Fed and State (Wisconsin) programs. I did not feel confident and I did not feel that the results and outcomes were properly addressed. I also searched for a number of terms and came up empty. It wasn't the price I paid for this product that disappointed me, it was the big build up and the being brought back to earth, slowly but surely.
What's great about it: Well structured and fast.
What's not so great: Tax tips were not helpful.

Easy and efficient

I know my return is not complicated but TurboTax gives me confidence in not being at risk to be audited by the IRS. Well worth the money.

What's great about it: just aswer questions and BAM, done before you know it. Got money back for things I didnt know I qualified for

My state return is not correct. My refund is more than the amount of tax I paid in. I did not make any quarterly payments.

Git 'Er Done Tax Software

I've used TurboTax for several years now, and it has always simplified completing and filing income tax returns. Importing from various sources reduces the data entry and promotes accuracy. Automating the processing of my personal and financial data to comply with the year-over-year tax law changes makes my life easier. I do check my returns carefully before filing them, but TurboTax generally passes with flying colors on the accuracy and completeness of the information.
What's great about it: Importing capabilities and overall ease of use
What's not so great: Form editing and accessing a very specific screen (not form) not so intuitive
Pros: I bought or sold investments
