Have always used it

I have used Turbo Tax for almost 20 years now. I did try Tax Cut one year, but bought the Turbo Tax and used it instead. It is easy to use and walks you through he process, step by step. Some years it flows better than other years. I like being able to keep my tax records electronically. I have a few issues: If it imports from the previous year's return, why doesn't it know if I have a loss carry over, or limited deductions, that can be carried over. Time shares are not included in some of the examples dealing with mortgage interest and property tax. The personal property tax doesn't list car taxes as an example, but it lists boats.
I think both Federal and State e-filing should be free.

Great product

I completed my long form 1040 taxes in no time! Of course, I had all my records in order and searchable on my computer which helped. Such a nice experience during such a stressful tax season. I used TurboTax for Mac.

2013 Taxes

Would like to be able to open my old reviews with current software. I have TT returns for the last 15 years, only I didn't save PDFs of the old ones like a do now and I can't open them as the computers I did those on are long gone. Would be great if you could figure out a way to be able to "open" the old returns (not make edits or anything) and make a PDF of them. Otherwise, TT rocks!
What's great about it: Easy to use as always!

Not user friendly

Last year I was audited and when I went to the IRS office they had a different return than the one that I had saved in my records. It cost me a day in DC and 8 hours of work. I decided to try Turbo Tax one more time. If I have issues this year I will not use this again.
What's not so great: Had an issue with values not adding up on my royalties.

Every year is easier

Being able to transfer all the information from last year's return is extremely helpful, especially when it comes to depreciation records for my rental apartment. The only problem I run into is that all rental property expenses are treated alike. If you choose to allocate between the owner-occupied and the rental portion of your 2- or 3-flat and then try to enter repairs that were specific to the rental portion, that is also allocated.
Other than that, using Turbo Tax is a breeze.

Turbo tax is faster and better every year

The form was fast and easy to use. Every thing flowed nicely and our information from last year was already filled in and ready to go. I like that you could have turbo tax lead you through parts of the form or I could just explore on my own and only look at the part where I have entries.
What's great about it: W-2 layed out much like my forms you could really just make them match and you are done
What's not so great: I could not figure out how to get to the Nebraska Non-game species contrubution
