Hidden Agenda....

Ive used this program for MANY filings (and you would think I would learn) as I keep coming back year after year. The ONE thing i don't like about this company and its program is that it defaults to where you have to pay the most at the end in "Filing" and they imply you get "1" free State filing in the premium package.... But thats really NOT true. But I'll prob forget and be back next year....
What's great about it: Gets the JOB done
What's not so great: Becareful or you'll be charged EXTRA

No other way to put it. Its the best and only way to file ur taxes. And it so important for people like me to have it broke down to a simple languge to understand. I have been using Turbo Tax now for FOUR Years now. Its so simple and easy to use . THANKS. EDDIE
What's great about it: Step by step of how to enter information
What's not so great: Nothing to dislike
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great software. However, few things need urgent attention.
Installation/compatibility issues with window xp and windows 7. Continue to complain about .net framework 4.0. Although I had it on xp. Tried on win 7 still same there although win 7 has only .net framework 4.5. Consistently tried for 4 days searched google but to no luck. Have to buy delux version trashing the premier.
Second thing navigation can be made easier, because once you cross a screen it is difficult to go back to same one, it takes you via different one, which is painful.

Turbo TaX is the BEST way to File!!

Turbo Tax makes filing taxes easy for most everyone but the most complicated of tax situations. I have been preparing my family's tax returns using Turbo Tax exclusively for over 20 years!
What's great about it: The Interviewi Process for entering all of your personal and financial tax information is so simple a child can do it!!
What's not so great: None!

Last Straw

We've had many frustrations over the years. So many that we now have an accountant doing both our returns but continued to use turbo for my daughter's return. Even though she works for the same employer, which has the same employer id number as last year, her return can't be e-filed (the best benefit of using turbo tax). It has to be in the turbo tax system because her colleagues have not had any issues filing online directly. And the same information worked last year.
What's great about it: transfers info from last year
What's not so great: error in turbo tax system means I have to print and mail the return

This TurboTax software takes the stress out of filing your taxes. The questions are easy to understand and they also offer tax professional assistance if needed during an audit. Awesome product!
What's great about it: Easy to find previous file using search feature. Questions are direct, not confusing.
What's not so great: All files where information entered on main page, not shown

printing and filing section sucks

Turbo Tax is great UNTIL you are ready to file, then you are faced with confusing and difficult to navigate filing and printing screens.
Especially if you want to E-File the Federal return and print and mail in the State return.
I found it very frustrating to tell the program to print my state return. It kept taking me to the section to choose wether or not to efile. Then it was very difficult to coax the program to print my state return.
You guys can do better.
