Excellent Tax Prep Software

The software walks you through the process of completing your tax return and as long as you have all of your materials ready you can be done in no time. Plus since we have been using TurboTax for years I am very familiar with the interace. And with the previous tax return data pulled in for you, most of the tedious data entry that takes up time is prefilled from last year's data. And I love comparing to what we filed last year as it helps me remember possible deductions I may have missed or possible forms I never recieved/ Excellent product!
What's great about it: Step by Step questions take you through even tricky returns
What's not so great: None come to mind

Keep refining the software to be more user friendly. Less clicks = less time wasted!

American Hope or No Hope?

In completing this years taxes, my sons 4th year of college, I was expecting to get my last amount of the American Hope Scholarship tax credit. Turbotax said we were ineligible because have already used it for 4 years. This is his 4th year now! I didn't realize that the American Hope and the American opportunity tax credit each counted in the "4 year use". If you received both in 1 year, it counted as 2. Wish Turbo tax had explained that better.
What's not so great: Hard to tell what you credits you have already taken.

Got Through It!

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 15 Years. I will continue to do so. The nature of my return would have made it impossible to complete manually. I don't fancy paying Preparers. Efiling is the icing on the cake. I'll have the refund deposited in about seven days.
What's great about it: Good detailed instructions
