Tax Returns in a Snap

I use TurboTax every year and it has really speeded up the time required to prepare my returns every year an made this chore a little more bearable.
What's great about it: Pulls in last years return info, assembles and fills in all needed forms.
What's not so great: Updates for software were a little slow, need to redesign your help info.

A time for Taxes

I had some problems e-filing getting the transfer to go through. It let me get to the very end before it asked me to check for updates. I probably should not have left the program open for a few days. I couldn't get rid of the form 8535 refinance credit , it took me a couple of times to clear the error. The rest was good.
What's great about it: It's a slick program
What's not so great: Had problems e-filing

Easy to Use

TurboTax is easy to use and makes me feel confident that I did the best job possible on my tax returns. Now all the company needs to do is supply a bottle of wine with the program so that I can celebrate after the tax forms have been completed.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: E-filing return is a little complicated. I could not submit my form for some reason.

Mixed Emotions

The problems that I encountered may be more directly related to bad accounting systems for the two colleges that I am dealing with. Two kids in college. Two colleges. The both send forms with $0.00 in the box #1. Your form's instruction is that ONLY box 1 or box 2 can have data. That does not make sense. I ultimately had to manually enter the data which may cause me to be audited.
What's great about it: I am familiar with TurboTax (and paper filing)
What's not so great: The sections on education and miscellaneous income were "challenging".

EASY!

This is the fourth year I have used TurboTax and I couldn't be happier with the results, not to mention that the cost was so minimal.
What's great about it: Simple, easy to follow instructions

Overall I liked the product, but don't put hamsters in your review design.
What's great about it: caught a missed deduction
What's not so great: stopped w4 part way through system wouldn't let me file(had to delete progress on w4)
