Overall Great

We had several new items come up on this year's filing that we didn't have in previous years. Most of it went smoothly with the help provided by the help pop-ups, but we did find some of the language confusing, and had to try several ways to answer some questions before we were able to get things to record properly.
What's great about it: Very nice walkthrough of all the items that need to be considered before filing the final return
What's not so great: Some of the terminology relative to stock and partnership sales was confusing; it took several tries on some items.

Nerves Be Gone

As usual, Turbo Tax has made April a very happy month! I always feel confident in my returns thanks to Turbo Tax. As a young woman filing on my own, I used to worry. But with Turbo Tax I don't worry anymore. Thanks for making this process a breeze!

Great As Always

I've used Turbo Tax for decades. It is the only one I would consider using. The software covers all of the possible financial and tax situations that I could be in, from selling a home, investing in rental property, stock sales, charitable donations, etc.
It speeds up the process and makes me confident that I've covered all of my options to maximize my deductions and properly account for all income as well.
What's great about it: Walks you through all the possible tax situations
What's not so great: Sometimes simplifies things too much for those that know what they are doing in the tax world

The software is designed to walk you through the tax return process. The questions are spot on and help with the preparation of the return.

I've been using Turbo Tax for years. I may not need it, but I like it and I trust it and it gets me to get the job done. I get the state return option as well as using the federal. I recommend the free online version to my kids.

Great for basic taxes

My husband has a tricky pension that always causes problems because it doesn't fit any of the questions you ask. Each year I run into the problem of not knowing what to fill out. This year, it showed me owing a great deal of money. I couldn't track the problem and even your side by side comparison of last year to this year showed a problem. I had to back track to the federal return and I still don't know what I did to fix it. I know I will have this same problem next. year.
My two young daughters have uncomplicated returns and they breeze through it... so it's great for them.
What's great about it: Pretty straight forward, easy to follow instructions
What's not so great: Hard to trouble shoot a problem
