I have used Turbo Tax for a long time. I won't do my taxes any other way. Turbo Tax is very thorough and walks you through the process with ease. There is a lot of help available if you have any questions about what you can/can't include in your taxes. LOVE TURBO TAX!
What's great about it: Sales tax entry options.
What's not so great: I owed taxes!

Very dissatisfied with program. Very confusing for a laymen. I could have saved money by going to my regular tax man and saved myself $70.00 in hidden fees.

Long Time Turbo Tax User

I've used Turbo Tax for many, many years. Before Turbo Tax, I spent hours and hours reviewing all the documentation I could find to determine what forms to fill out and try to figure out the best tax position I could establish...to pay only my "fair share."
With Turbo Tax, I've cut the number of hours by probably a factor of 10 or more.

Better Every Year!

I've used TurboTax for many years and survived the early, clunky, days. This year is the easiest program to use, by far. It took me about 3 hours or so.

Total Tax Owed on Summary is INCORRECT

I've used Turbo Tax for the last 3 years without a problem. This year's version, when you get to the end, the Total Tax owed is incorrect. The program takes the total tax owed, and deducts child tax credits, but then it adds the child tax credit to the taxes you have paid as well. This makes it look like you owe $1,000. per child less than you actually do! However, it does the calculation for what you actually owe correctly. i.e.
Tax Owed = $3,939.00 (It should have been $4,939.00#
Tax Paid and Credits = $2,612.00
Remaining = $2,344.00 #this includes $17.00 for late fees/interest)
Tax Owed = $3,939.00 (It should have been $4,939.00#
Tax Paid and Credits = $2,612.00
Remaining = $2,344.00 #this includes $17.00 for late fees/interest)
What's great about it: Walks you through step-by-step and gives examples and instruction.
What's not so great: Summary totally threw me off.
