A Load Off My Mind

The thought of doing the tax return each year is always stressful. Once I get into the process with Turbo Tax I feel confident and just press "continue" at each screen and give a sigh of relief after the possible error checking is complete. What a relief! Thank you Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Process is easy to follow!
What's not so great: I have used Turbo Tax for several years; seems to improve each year. There is not anything to complain about!

So Simple and Easy

I asked some one who went to a professional tax preparer and they got the same number as Turbo Tax gave them. I'm sticking with Turbo Tax.
However, I don't understand the filing fee when Turbo Tax indicted the e-filing was free.
What's great about it: Ask questions so I know what is going on.
What's not so great: Extra states cost as much or more than the delux package I purchased.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

If you are confident in your ability to understand everyday language describing the myriad, mysterious facets of the tax code ruling your return, then TT is for you. It assumes you know a bit to get started and then holds your hand through the rest. I always appreciate how thorough it is--and how confident I feel that they've thought of everything (since I cannot!).
What's great about it: Ease of use--section walk-throughs educate you a LOT
What's not so great: Short of not sitting down and doing it for me, can't think of anything :)

Better - But still needs work

ALWAYS something that won't work the prevents me efiling. Happily I saved the filing and handling fees. Better this year, swore that I would not buy your product again. If a competitor exists, I'll use it next.
What's great about it: Intuitive for somethings
What's not so great: ALWAYS, EVERY YEAR, a glitch that won't let me efile. This year it would not accept the Zip code for a 1098

I've been using TT for a long time so even though it seems too easy, I trust it. I love the way it transfers my info from my previous returns.
