Not as good as in years past...

I didn't find it as easy to use as in years past. It would ask me a question, and I would choose an answer, but if I tried to go back, sometimes it would not take me back to the same questions. Also, vehicle REGISTRATION fees and PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX are NOT the same thing, so why does it not allow you to enter actual personal property tax paid once it determines your state doesn't allow you to deduct a registration fee?
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Hard to get back to questions if you skip any

i had 2 royalty properties, but only totals showed. at one point the numbers were way off, going to the forms and doing the edit was the only way "back" to put correct #'s in. it would not allow the # corrections on the step by step section.
What's great about it: liked the import feature for w2's
What's not so great: schedule E instructions were not clear

Just looking for easy to use basic rtn software

I have been using this software for about 10 years. I have found it to be easy to use. For the most part, the questions asked are clear. Loading data from last year and showing you the amounts from last year as you go through the program is very helpful.
What's great about it: Easy to use and understand the questions being asked. Covers more than basic needs that I have for filing returns
What's not so great: no significant cons

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years and this version has been the least user-friendly! It was tedious and I entered things repetitively. The updates would not register and it took a lot longer than normal. Past versions were much better. I am not sure what has changed but it needs to revert back to previous versions.
What's great about it: do it yourself
What's not so great: not user-friendly, took longer than normal

Great Program

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years so this year I decided to compare it to another tax preparation software. What did I discover? The state was identical but the Turbo Tax Federal allowed me more opportunities to declare deductions and therefore my return was a higher refund with Turbo Tax as compared to the other software.
What's great about it: Asking all the questions for me to answer.
What's not so great: None thus far

I'm a CPA and Turbo Tax is a great product and does a great job.
