Good soft ware so anyone can use to complete their taxes. Surprise at the end when they hit you up with extra cost for filing State taxes electronically.
What's great about it: Easy to use - covers major areas well
What's not so great: Surprise you have to pay additional monies to file State taxes electronically.

I have used Inuit for years, love it!
What's great about it: Improvements Getting Better
What's not so great: Still doesn't seem to work with Quicken
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Why You Should Use this Product

Pros - If you need step by step instructions, this software is for you. If you already know where you need to go this software is for you. If you think you already know where you need to go, it will take you there, but also give you the options to visit other areas.
Cons - There's no information about operating system requirements on the download page. I downloaded software I couldn't use so had to pay again to get the correct software.
What's great about it: It's easy to use.
What's not so great: No description of operating system requirements.

I have used TurboTax for several years and continue to do so because I can depend on a solid and complete tax assessment.
What's great about it: Easy and thorough
What's not so great: Tax code makes some rules difficult

Everything was fine except I couldn't get my signature on the state property tax refund to work using the webcam. If I could have done that I would have filed that return electronically just like I did with the fed and state income tax returns. I am going to have to mail it in using snail mail instead. No big deal but I wonder what didn't work for me. I'd like to know so I can use it the next time.

What's not so great: Turbo Tax is a little expensive t purchase for 1 use.

Good, but a few areas are still clumsy

I like the comparison to last year's numbers.
Overall I trust TurboTax year after year.

Cons:
Had to manually override the state form to put the bank account direct deposit of my refund for Illinois state which I am not eligible to file electronically... this was not an easy task!

Also clumsy is the HSA section... states that it is employer contribution, but not really... wording is poor.
Also had trouble with automatic updates.. had to reboot my computer several times and contact support in order for it to finally work.
IL State: It was difficult to find where to enter credits for High Impact/River Edge Enterprise zone ... it was disguised as Business Dividend... simple language requested so I don't have to hunt for it.
Lastly, Survey wouldn't let me change the nickname for the review from my son's return, so both reviews are submitted under one nickname.

Suggestions:
Being able to do "what if" scenarios for tax planning.
