Turbo Tax Rocks!

I have used Turbo Tax for many years to do my own taxes, even while I owned a small business. It always helped me find deductions I would have otherwise missed. It is easy, fast, thorough, and I love the fact that I can efile my taxes so I don't need to worry about their getting lost in the mail. Just fill out, save, click Send, and you're done! Thank you Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Fast, easy, thorough
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Meh..

I didn't have the information for my 1098-T form with me, so I skipped it and tried to go back later. I distinctly remember having a page where there were options to edit this information, but when I went back, this page was nowhere to be found and the program would not let me enter any new information. Finally, I was unable to electronically file my taxes at the end of the program because I got an error message about a zip code being wrong, even though it wasn't. Unfortunately, the error was in the 1098-T section that I can no longer access.. Overall not a wonderful experience.

Always Very Good

I love the fact that this year's and last are compared and a lot of the information is pulled from the prior year's. This year my taxes only took 2 hours and part of it was because I couldn't find a file.
What's great about it: Year to Year Carry Over of Information
What's not so great: Couldn't get rid of a vehicle I no longer have in business expenses

Cannot imagine doing my taxes without Turbo Tax

I would recommend Turbo Tax to everyone! We used to have a CPA do our taxes and now can do them ourselves - EASILY!!
What's great about it: walks you through every conceivable senario and explains in understandable method

The biggest problem has been in past years is with my Virginia State return. For reasons I have not been able to ascertain, the state return has frequently not been accepted. I hope this year will be different.
What's great about it: For a basic itemized return with the TSP retirement payment plan a very smooth checklist for all likey deductions.cu
What's not so great: I am still waiting to see if the Virginia return goes through.

Good but could be better

It's a decent product but has some issues...I don't know how many times it tried to upsell when I had already declined - there should be a checkbox to let me decline once and for all. Also, form 4952 line 4g can cost you money if you do not go to forms and plug a number in there. It should determine it based on tax savings. There should be a back button for jumping around. Taxes are already arduous - help us escape drudgery!
What's great about it: imports, transfers last years' info, nice GUI
What's not so great: tries to sell you stuff repeatedly when you already said no; does not automatically populate some things that it should

Easy

The update didn't start till after I had finished and had to go back to do the State Sales Tax, very inconvient, The update should be done at the start not the end other than that it was a piece of cake.
What's great about it: Everything went smooth except
What's not so great: State Sales Tax, would not allow even the IRS allowable
