Great for top 2%-10% of filers

My family is in the top 2% to 10% of income earners generated mostly through earned income. This means we have W-2s, some taxable investments, and the standard deductions of mortgage and state taxes. If you fall into this "semi-professional" group, then TurboTax is the most efficient, accurate, and cost effective method for filing your taxes.
I have used this product since 2004 and it is very helpful in organizing the paperwork, identifying what forms or information might be missing, and at least as I go through the self-guided lists, what deductions I might not be considering (e.g., foreign tax credit on mutual fund investments)
I expect to use TurboTax until either I win the Lottery or I file my 2nd to last tax filing.
What's great about it: Easy to Follow, Handy Help Access, Avoid IRS Instruction Manuals
What's not so great: Can't tell me how to restructure finances to avoid taxes
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

On the whole this took some time but the process was doable in a couple of days. Also I could do this at my own pace.
What's great about it: Very thourough questions and could stop and come back to the return at any time
What's not so great: a little confusing at times

Quick and Easy

I really like this program. Well worth the reasonable investment! I always procrastinate because thinking about completing my taxes completely stresses me out, but each year when I'm done I think "why didn't I do this in February so I didn't keep worrying about it."
What's great about it: Brings over anything it can from previous year and walks me through the rest so I don't have to guess!

We had a LT Cap Gain Reinvestment that we didn't understand; none of the help options were helpful.

Starting with on-line chat with Turbo Tax Customer Service Rep who helped me to get a download versus using the CD. My new computer does not have a CD drive. Within minutes she set me up with a 2-click download of the 2013 tax program.
Afterwards, Turbo Tax took us step by step through our taxes. We were done in a couple hours.
Easy - fast - complete!
What's great about it: Wonderfully simple
