My whole family uses Turbo Tax!

My Dad, Mom, Brother, and I have been using Turbo Tax for the last 3/4 years. It is so easy, which is really nice in our busy lives.
What's great about it: Fast and easy, with a lot of help options if you need to research
What's not so great: I don't remember having to scroll down my review page everytime before I can select to advance to next step.

Since I am clergy and my income is reported on a w-2 rather than a 1099, I had to file by mail. So just when I thought I was done, I have another step.
What's great about it: very straightforward
What's not so great: doesn't quite fit my situation

Turbo Tax Does it again

My wife and I moved, sold our house, bought a new house and lived in two different states in 2013 and Turbo Tax helped us sort through all the details, optimize our refunds and file our taxes. We have been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years and it is a great tool for us!
What's great about it: Helps you through all the details of filing taxes, knows State & Federal tax Laws
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Did a great job but more work than last year.

I entered all of our W2 information on Saturday 4/12/2013, I know - cutting it too close, and save the file before closing the program. When I opened it on Sunday 4/13/2014 the program picked up where I left off. As I continued I was unable to claim the Child Care Deduction credit, which I know we qualify for. I tried 6 times and then finally went to the Community. Being so close to D-Day, I also used the call Turbo Tax option.
Fortunately we got to speak to someone, after listening to horrible Funeral Parlor music for 45 minutes or so. He had me do some press the magic key thing and send him a none identifiable copy.
Apparently, all the W2 and all other income information that I had entered the day before, I have a witness that I entered it - my wife watched me, was gone!
The Turbo Tax representative noticed the problem right away. I re-entered all of the W2 and income information and we were off and running again. We finished up and filed within about 2 hours.
What's great about it: Walked me through all the things I needed to enter.
What's not so great: Did not save my return and required a call to Turbo Tax.

Improved over last year

There is still too much arcane info required to complete the section on mileage deductions. This year I had 2 cars, each for half the year-- could not figure out how to do this and had to give up. Of all the features pertaining to me, this is the one most in need of improvement. As for improvements over past years-- thanks for reducing the repetitive questions!
What's great about it: overall fairly quick and straightforward
What's not so great: Still having problems with the mileage decuction!

Excellent Tax Preparation

I have used Turbo Tax for over 20 years and wouldn't use anything else! Easy to use and fast, even with deductions.
What's great about it: Easy, fast
What's not so great: Had some difficulty with the Education Tax Credit that I didn't have last year
