A Painless Way To Do Taxes

I liked the fact that I could do both my taxes and my father-in-law's taxes using the same program. (He doesn't have to file state taxes).
On a few items I had questions about, the "learn more" option proved very helpful.
I also liked the way it automatically found and uploaded my previous year's information. If you're living in the same place and doing the same job, makes updating your tax forms a snap.
What's great about it: Fast, Accurate and Easy
What's not so great: The fact that you have to pay additional to e-file your state return is hidden

So simple and easy to use

I love Turbo Tax and it only took my a bit over an hour to do the Federal and State returns and e-file them.
What's great about it: Straightforward and it walked you through every possible scenario
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Been using turbo tax for years. Like the way it covers everything, even things I don't think I have. Though it takes a while to finish, it feels like I get a good result.
What's great about it: Steps you thru the process, prompts for what you need
What's not so great: takes a long time (might be necissary). Had estate to file on this year, not real clear to me

Very user friendly and complete

This software is pretty easy to work in sessions that fit your own erratic schedule. Stuff is automatically saved. Easy to revisit previous sections. Being able to compare to last years return gives you a comfortable feeling that you are on track and not missing anything. I like that it gives you an idea of your audit risk. Great for preparing your next year's estimates.
What's great about it: I am a repeat user and like that I can either be led or choose my own path. Like the error checking and easy filing,
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Turbo tax is very easy and thorough. I was going to use an accountant this year until i had my appointment with him and he reviewed my taxes. He said this was so comprehensive that he would not be able to do them any better.

What's not so great: Takes time away from doing fun stuff

Working the Maze

Doing taxes can be dreadful (only if I think I owe) but Turbo makes this difficult chore so easy. I shouldn't procrastinate. Turbo even makes it easy to file extensions if necessary. Much better than in past years! Keep up the great enhancements!
What's great about it: Easy info for changes from previous year
