not as good as previous years

having to print copies of return using a PDF reader is slow and unnecessarily laborious. I had adobi reader installed, but tubotax could not find it. I had to install the Foxit reader to get printed copies and Foxit is overly complicated.

Frustrated

I was frustrated using TurboTax. I had used TurboTax in years past but had switched to an online-only tool. I tried TurboTax again hoping for better clarity on the questions. I was disappointed. Some areas that I consider simple had the most inane, micro-step process that made it slow to enter the data. Other areas where I wanted more clarity, I was frustrated by the lack of it. As the topics got more complex, the help got much less helpful and more frustrating.
I used Deluxe and found the importing of tax info confusing (partly due to my financial institution). But I couldn't use copy/paste in TurboTax for account numbers, passwords, etc.
The state questions were just as brief and unhelpful as years ago.
I don't feel the cost of the product plus the cost for state filing is worth the value the product give.

Love this product

Use turbo tax every year for many years and love the improvements and the piece of mind I receive when the final review is done.
What's great about it: Love the ease of doing my taxes with Turbo tax
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy but had some trouble

I have used Turbo tax for over a decade now. I am not a tax expert so I rely on Turbo Tax to help me through this filing. I have no issue with the software, except for when I was dealing with capital gains tax that was for a trust under my son's name. This is when it got a little too much for the software. I do not need to get the next version to have my questions answered. I eventually figured things out, but it took some research on my part. Luckily for me, using Turbo Tax has helped me become more familiar with the tax code in general. Ignorance may be bliss, but not when dealing with the IRS. It really pays to know. Turbo Tax just helps everyone file taxes without digging through documents or websites.
What's great about it: Straight-forward, all info available at my fingertips, Covers everything I need
What's not so great: Does not dive into details regarding investments (minor), not major ones.

I wanted to just check to see if I owed any City tax and when I entered in some of the data, you didn't have a means to go back and unselect the city.
Other then that, I was very comfortable using your program and will use it again next year........................
What's great about it: Overall I think you "nail it"
What's not so great: Didn't like the way you handled the City tax form.

Best Year Ever

I continue to have problems with some terms, but each year gives me a better understanding of what I should be looking for and saving as the year goes on.
What's great about it: completeness of all the questions and placed to look for answers
What's not so great: Some terms still not clear, however that may be my fault
