I bought the turbo tax last year and didn't pay anything else other then what I paid for the disc, named federal and state tax. it says file free????

Federal to State Innerface

It took an enormous amount of time to try and apply tax exempt income from being carried over to the state forms. I was considered to have owed taxes, but finally after writing a statement on the State side, it somehow triggered acknowledgement within the state forms of the exempt status. I could not make any adjustment on the State forms previously. I was very frustrated since it took so much time due to this simple item.
What's great about it: In general this worked very well
What's not so great: Changes to State forms were very cumbersome to accomplish
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

2013 turbotax

TT 2013 performed just fine and included all details for federal return.
There were some lines of taxes filed in 2012 needed for 2013 return that should have imported automatically and were not. This made for some confusion and frustration.
Out of state sales tax and usage. Reference to page 33 was wrong for IT201 instructions. Refer to page 29 instead.

This Great Product Continues to Perform Well!

Overall, this is a great product. I have used it for well of 20 years and it continues to perform well.

The only issue I had this year is that if I purchase TurboTax at a retail store I could not get last year's information load. This required that I enter all information as if I was a first time customer. Last year I used TurboTax online and based on my experience will not use the online version again.
What's great about it: Relatively easy to complete.
What's not so great: I was not able to get 2012 information loaded.
