I have used Turbo Tax for the past few years and recommend this product highly. I file a 1040 and KY state long form. I had my records together and ready and it only took about 2 1/2 hours total from loading the CD to saving the copy of my filed return. As a repeat customer, Turbo Tax auto enters everything from last year, even down to the tax id number of my employer and the names of the charities to which I contributed last year. Just couldn't get any easier. And, I got a refund!
What's great about it: simple, fast

I have been an avid user since the beginning. One year used a CPA,thought I would get a better return. Just cost an extra 300.00. Lesson learned, It just gets easier every year. Thanks

Too many glitches

I have used Turbo Tax for years but this year was very frustrating with being locked into screens, having boxes come through checked that you didn't want checked and it wouldn't let you out (Wisconsin Dairy Credit) and wouldn't let me efile as I hadn't updated Turbo Tax - which I just had. It makes me concerned about what else is wrong in computing our actual tax amounts owed. I am not sure we will use again next year.
What's great about it: Walks you through everything - but it doesn't seem to retain information you entered earlier (like W-2s state info)
What's not so great: A lot of glitches - wouldn't let me out of screens, had boxes checked that I couldn't uncheck, etc.

Quick and Easy

I've been using Turbo Tax for many years and rarely have a problem. It's quick, easy and gets great results. I can't imagine doing taxes manually any longer or paying someone else to do them when I can enter or download all of the numbers myself. Great product!
What's great about it: Fast, Easy, Reliable
What's not so great: None

Product made a dreaded job easy. Instructions and guidance made it easy. Detailed worksheets very helpful when reviewing the return. I would recommend to a friend.
What's great about it: easy to follow, guidance excellent, accurate
