Great until the checking part

I am a user of TurboTax for the past 5+ years. This is because the software walks me through the preparation of the tax form, providing me with the needed information in an understandable way so that I know how to answer the questions with minimal time. However, the user friendly process ended at the checking routine. This generated error messages with questions that I could not understand, even with the TurboTax help files. Finally I had to go out on the internet and browse around to find the answers. I'm still not 100% sure I understood the questions.
What's great about it: Really easy to input and roll through the process
What's not so great: The checking routine found errors that generated questions I had no way of answering.

Makes a painful task easy!

TurboTax is a great tool for getting my taxes done!!! So fast and easy!
What's great about it: Spells everything out for you...just follow along and next thing you know...you're done!

Turbo Tax Issues

Had to try to get upgrades I already had, but wouldn't transmit my data without them. Seems a little crazy, since I already had them. Very frustrating to say the least!! Tried to close out TurboTax and then re-launch several times. Finally re-booted my computer and it seemed to work.
What's great about it: Was fairly easy to use
What's not so great: Transmitting files was awful.

My Son's Return

I had some difficulty with the self-employed business return. I purchased the Deluxe Edition. Maybe the Premier or Home and Business versions would have been a better choice.

Turbo Tax has always done a good job for me but this year I had trouble with the download and it caused issues with my computer. I was able to work through them but it took additional time that I wish I had not needed to spend.
Not sure if it was the timing or some kind of bug in the CD I received or the system itself. I hope I don't have similar issues next year.

FEARLESS FILING

with no formal tax prep training, even the busiest TAXPAYER can have no fear in filing taxes with Turbo Tax and feel confident that I have dotted all the i's and crossed all the t's.
What's great about it: step by step instructions and walk-through with explanations!
