Rock solid

Been using Turbo Tax for a very long time. This year was probably the easiest by far. Would recommend this to anyone who self-prepares their return.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Not always certain about printing before filing

What's great about it: easy transport of doc.
What's not so great: e-filing wasn't easy. problems i didn't see coming.thought i was done but took another hour.

It would be nice if once info is entered to donate items to say Goodwill everything is auto filled except for item & value instead of 3 - 4 steps for each item.
What's great about it: Nice that it imports data from previous year

One Problem with TurboTax

The one big problem I had with TurboTax Deluxe is that I paid foreign tax on dividends to 3 different foreign countries. And all of that tax info was on only ONE 1099-Form (because I use only one brokerage firm).
Unfortunately, TurboTax Deluxe only allows ONE foreign country per 1099-Form. From researching it online, it appears that TurboTax Premier also has this flaw.
You really need to fix it. I'm sure it's a problem for a lot of taxpayers who use TurboTax.
What's great about it: User Friendliness
What's not so great: Problems with Dividends from Foreign Countries

A lot of glitches

This took too much time due to numerous software problems (despite being up-to-date with software upgrades). One major problem was that the NY State Worksheet did not automatically fill out based on the Federal worksheet, and the software doesn't like if you fill it out yourself, causing error messages and blocking eFiling of NY State tax. After waiting on hold a while for TurboTax support, I found the solution myself by Googling the problem (obviously others had the same problem). I find myself frequently having to manually fix errors. I may consider another brand next year, despite having used TurboTax for many, many years. To top it off, I am having trouble submitting this review since the 10 nicknames I have tried are already taken.
What's great about it: Error free calculation; recalculates with revisions
What's not so great: A lot of software glitches
