I've used TurboTax for several years and it is user friendly, but I do have some minor quibbles that do not alter my overall recommendation, but I wish they would make some changes. Finding the telephone number to contact support is a time consuming challenge. It's almost as if Turbotax wants to make it difficult to contact them for assistance. I wish it were easier to print exactly what is being submitted to the taxing authorities as well as to print a useful file copy of my returns. Last, I would never use Turbotax to determine my 1127 liability (something that is unique to certain individuals working for New York City). On the other hand being able to download complete statements from my stock broker with a single key stroke is fantastic.
What's great about it: Telephone support (once I found the phone number)
What's not so great: Hunting for the telephone contact number

I don't feel you let us collect all we are due. I have a couple of things I used to be able to put on returns.
Also I have used Turbotax for the past three years and it didn't pull my info together for the comparison page.
Also I thought I got one free tax return and I was charged.
should I just be downloading Turbo instread of buying the disk each year?

I went through the entire TurboTax process, choosing to not e-file state returns, but never did it ask if I wanted to print my state returns.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: skipped state filing

EFILE FRUSTRATION

Have filed my taxes for years with TT and was warned by my wife that a co-worker of hers got right up to the last step of the efile process and the software kept telling her that she did not have the latest update. I got to the same point and had the same problem. Mind you I had installed the latest updates when I started the process. The que tells that the efile won't happen because I don't have the latest update. After going back to the main menu and being told that there is a new update and each time I install said update efile kicks me back to the same place. Pretty frustrating!!!!!
What's great about it: Step by step easy process
What's not so great: efile glitch known by others.

Overall I like Turbo tax. I like that I can import income & loss from the company I invest with
What's not so great: I think the price is too high to do a 2nd state retunr especially as there was not refund or taxes owed
