About the Same Can't Complain

This years T. T. so good and easy my wife did most of the return. Not because she is female but she is a-tech savvy. Very quick E file. Still don't care for the state filing fee. I thought the blue cues were especially nice. The info for E file pin was difficult to understand and did not match IRS help line instruction, i.e. I failed to file properly last year, 2012, and had to refile after the new year so I had no previous year pins to enter on my 2013 returns. IRS advised I use one 0 for the pin box. T. T. instructions were to make up my own five digit pin.

What's great about it: Clear instructions, good research help, and the review is great.
What's not so great: Some times the flagged errors are difficult to resolve. The fix, faq, or ask guides are (my op) counter intuitve.

I dislike the exercise but TT helps ease the discomfort
What's great about it: easy
What's not so great: I'd like the next buttons to be closer to the selection buttons on each page

Overall poor rating. I found instructions unclear. Circular links without information. Links to IRS and TT help were not related to search subject without conducting another search. I am not sure I have correctly filed.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Good not as user friendly

Seems more confusing this year. Printing more confusing and it did not print my copy of return when I clicked that button. Had to go to file and print it that way.
What's great about it: Know what to do usually
What's not so great: confusing, asks the same questions but doesn't save the answer

Once it opened on my computer it was quick & easy

Turbo tax would not open on my computer this year, after trying for 1 1/2 hours to open TurboTax, I had to call the help line to get it to open.
Once it opened it was quick and easy to use.
What's not so great: Had to call help line because it would not open on my computer

printed my return to file federal return, had to go back to e-file state return. No obvious way to tell TurboTax to split the process.
What's great about it: step by step process, explains what is going on

Quick and Easy

In less than 2 hours I was able to complete both federal and state returns. Everything in Turbo Tax matched with the paperwork I received. It also pointed out entries that I missed before completing the returns. I have been using Turbo Tax for over 5 years and have never had a problem.
What's great about it: Everything was very well explained
What's not so great: Its pricey

Disappointed with this year's product

I have used TurboTax for years and this year I was very disappointed. My filing status has changed since I retired, and this created questions on my part. I attempted to post questions and found that TurboTax does not answer questions in a timely manner. On one question, I found a similar question had been asked over a month prior and never received a response.
I don't know if I will use TurboTax next year. I think I will go to an accountant and get some actual answers to my questions.
