Not Very Friendly Experience!

I entered my filing data with ease and wished I had completed my efiling on the same day. The experience of having to figure out how to recover and complete this year's return was less than pleasing. I re-installed the application and resumed at an earlier point in the filing process but at least not from the beginning as I anticipated. This time the filing completed and my returns were transmitted. I just hope that everything was delivered and this experience is behind me. I would like to continue to use Turbo Tax but the application's stability needs to be checked and much more user friendly.
What's great about it: Installation and filing entry was great.
What's not so great: Saved filed and continuation of efiling was a horrible experience!

Disappointed

I am familiar with using "Home & Business" version of TurboTax, which has a provision for inserting information about royalty income from mineral interests. I did not order "Home & Business" because I am retired and no longer have any "business" to report. Imagine my frustration in learning that with this version there is no way to insert this information. My wife has a handful of mineral interests that earn just enough to cause a problem. Being short of time at the discovery of this problem I chose to submit the return with the info missing and I am sure I will hear from the IRS demanding payment, with penalty, after the penalty grows to a amount worth the IRS' trouble.
Why would TurboTax not have provision in this version for this form of income????????

What's great about it: Usual excellent format and guidance, BUT!!!

Disappointed, but still can't live without

I started many many years ago using MacInTax before TurboTax bought them. Every year Turbo tax has gotten better, but this year I felt lost. For the first time, I had to call an accountant help fill in some of the boxes. Also, it kept asking me to look at last years return. Why? I already imported my last years return into this year. So why am I being asked to look back and confirm things?
I'll still use it next year, but I hope it gets better. There's no sense using both TurboTax and hiring an accountant.
What's great about it: Easy to use, inexpensive, and complete
What's not so great: More confusing this year

Always Easy and Accurate

I've been using TurboTax for more than 15 years. Each year they make the process of preparing the 1040 (and I've had some complicated situations) practically painless. I recommend the product to everyone I talk to about taxes.
What's great about it: It makes taxpaying almost painless

It's relatively easy for me since I know how to navigate through income and deductions and avoid many questions.

Little tough to see worksheets. Must search through list. Perhaps offering a print screen would be valuable like it used to be.
