I have used TurboTax for the last 17 years. It is easy to use. I really like the It's Deductible program. Before that I would guess at the amount, and I was afraid to guess over the amount that required documentation because I didn't really know for sure. With It's Deductible, now have records of what has been deducted, and I am confident in the amounts.
What's great about it: Easy to use, and help online for things I didn't understand
What's not so great: I owe money this year...

Turbo Terrific

I am a satisfied, repeat customer of TT. I have already done my deduction homework, so editing the previous year's categories is a breeze! The software calculations are reliable, and take into account changes in the IRS code for maximum benefit: TT saves me money every year and I know my returns are 100% accurate. Turbo is terrific!
What's great about it: Easy and thorough data entry, comprehensive coverage, maximizes deductions.

Been using taxcut for quite a while and decided to try something new. I was very pleased that the program was easy to use. I discovered that a deduction was missed in the 2012 tax return so I'll have to amend that. Unfortunately, I'll have to use Taxcut to amend that one.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Didn't really notice any

Helpful Tool at Tax Time

Make the continue or next button in same location or modify to skip a lot of steps (small business owner area). It is cumbersome to click through all the screens.
What's great about it: Imports prior year data
What's not so great: Cumbersome when revisiting certain areas

What A Mess!

What a mess this year! Got most of my items in, but it wouldn't put in our solar numbers and didn't have the federal forms needed until the last moment! Then it wouldn't e-file then. BOO!
What's great about it: Took most of our items!
What's not so great: Solar Items missing and Where were the forms???????

Nice, unexpected refund

Answers to my questions were limited as well as information on how to input the info from a 1099-S. Other than that, I like Turbo Tax and use it every year.
What's great about it: Most questions were easily answered. Layout was nice.
What's not so great: Never did find out how to input a 1099-S. Program only shows 1099-B.
